On December 9, 2022 the Minister of Education, Culture and Employment made the Post-secondary Education General Regulations. Defining the academic year, date of establishment, and tuition fees. These regulations cover the approval of tuition fees, the increasing of tuition fees, program evaluations, audits, and information sharing agreements.

The Department of Education, Culture and Employment has developed four new sets of regulations:

1. Private Vocational Training (PVT) Regulations will regulate Certificate and Diploma programs that provide training in the skills and knowledge required for employment in a vocation.

2. Colleges, Degree Granting and Universities Regulations will regulate the institutions identified as colleges and universities and will also regulate the offering of degrees in a post-secondary institution.

3. Private Training Institutions Regulations will regulate private institutions wanting to offer post-secondary education.

4. General Regulations will contain information on items that do not fit into the other areas, such as Tuition, Mandate, and Reporting.
