Class 1 Milk Price Determination Order
Effective February 1, 2023, the Dairy Farmers of Prince Edward Island Board made a Class 1 Milk Product Price Determination Order in accordance with the Natural Products Marketing Act. The Order provides for the establishment of a minimum wholesale price for Class 1 milk products in Prince Edward Island. Classification of milk products are established by the Dairy Farmers of Prince Edward Island Milk Classification Order.
The order states that no processor or distributor shall offer for sale or sell a Class 1 milk product at a price less than the established prices and no distributor shall offer to purchase or purchase a Class 1 milk product at a price less than the established minimum price.
