Council Gets More Flexibility with Changes to the Fence Setback on Flanking Streets
Town of Paradise (Fence and Retaining Wall Regulations Amendment 1, 2022)
On December 20, 2022 the Planning and Protective Services Committee for the Town of Paradise directed staff to change section 18(a)i from a 3-metre minimum setback between the property boundary on a flanking street to the wall of the dwelling on a corner property to a minimum 3-metre setback unless otherwise specified by council, between the property boundary on a flanking street to the wall of the dwelling on a corner property.
This change has been made to allow council more flexibility when reviewing fence applications on corner lots.
